THIS IS A JOURNEY, OF SOUND, TIME AND MOTION, MORE EASILY DEFINED AS RHYTHYM.

Fizzix is the scientific study of both Drum and Bass and how they interact with each other. This energy can take the form of Loud Bass, Broken Beats, Electric Vibes, Musical Radiation, Gravity . . . just about anything, honestly. Fizzix deals with matter on scales ranging from Bass-sub-atomic particles to Clubs to Dancefloors to Stars the Moons and even entire Galaxies. DJ Fizzix will get you hyped with his energetic style of experimental Drum and Bass!!

Relatively new to the scene with just over a year of Mixing experience hasn't stopped this talented DJ from exploding into his Broken-Beat position. Different Dj's from various crews around the city of Edmonton have guided him on this scientific journey. He considers them not only as his friends but as his mentors. At the age of only 10 Fizzix bought his first album ~ The Prodigy "fat of the land" ~ And it changed his life. Nothing was ever the same again for young Fizzix, after hearing tracks like "Diesel power" and "Breathe". In 2007, a very influential album was handed to him that reminded him of exactly why he loved huge basslines and massive broken beats... Pendulum's "Hold Your Color". This was pretty much the jump off point for Fizzix. He knew right then and there that this was his sound. It took him back to the days of walking to school as a kid, banging his copy of "Fat of The Land", riding the cosmic groove.

That brings us to the present... right here right now!! Fizzix has been holding down a monthly residency at the Crown Pub at the currently longest running Drum and Bass night in Edmonton: Basshead Thursday! This has not only improved his skill behind the decks but has shifted his outlook on the whole "Being a DJ thing". The feeling he experiences when his tracks are slamming and his mixing is tight is far more euphoric than any mind altering substance known to man. You can't put a price on that!!

He chose Drum and Bass because it personally spoke to him. He also found there were not a lot of Dj's out there that solidly committed themselves to the genre. As selfish as it may seem, Fizzix wanted something to call his own.
But now, as the days move on, and he evolves as a DJ he finds himself looking for new challenges. No longer is he just the Fizzix of DN'B, but off all broken beats!! From
HIP HOP to BREAKS to DUBSTEP to DRUM & BASS and back again...

Fuck Biology, Fuck Chemistry..... This is Fizzix~
