Max Tannone has gone and in fine fashion, mashed up some classic reggae and dub riddims with Mos Def lyrics over the top. This is possibly one of the greatest concept/mashup lps Ive ever heard. Mos is a lyricist of epic proportions and I dont think that theres a style he couldnt flow over with ease. However the way his vocals roll over these riddims is almost godly. Every tune is recrafted with precision and fit to function. I think most of me just loves the fact that someone loved the concept enough to do an entire album of it.
