Gonna start doin these mixes once a month or so, basically a full length mix of what I'm feeling at the moment. This one is drumstep, dubstep, dnb and hip hop. Got some fire from my boys Daphutur, and plenty of other bangers. Kind of a rough mix, but so what :P

Eskmo has been slaying crowds around the world and has been in the game for more than 10 years now. The last time he was here in Edmonton he absolutely murdered it and I personally coulden't wait to have him back! Now hes coming with fresh bangers and beautifully produced originals that will have you skanking hard on the Starlite Room's dancefloor!
Check out this DOPE video that will fuck your brain sideways :p
Can't forget about our local favorites, the Knight Riderz! Fresh off their American tour and armed with an arsenal of new bangers from their recent EP release plus a collection of unreleased tunes to get your crunk on! These guys never fail to bring the heat with their live sets and show no signs of slowing down with their unique sound and dirty, gritty basslines!
Samples' number 2 pick for Top Glitch Hop tune of all time, a little older but obviosly still a slayer!
Heres another head boppin tune you can comp for FREE on the Knight Riderz soundcloud page!
Last but not least we got more local talent to put Edmonton on the map! With a sick release on Play Me Too, Elliot Mars at the young age of 21 is ready to destroy the bass music scene with his authentic synths and face melting drops!
I want to spread a little love for the most talented, the most humble, and probably the nicest cat I know, Shamik. Shamik is an internationally known beatboxer and Mc, and if you have not heard or seen him perform, you are missing out! He has a new ep fresh off the press, and I want to share it with you all. Here is what Shamik had to say about, Westward Rising:
"I was flying over the Rockies back to Vancouver after a great show. At the time, I was collaborating on 3 tunes with 3 different producers. Each song was on my mind. Then I had the idea to put together a project featuring all Western Canadian artists. After a few emails that day, a bunch of talented people were on board! Our community is growing, we're all friends, and the music is doing all the talking. The purpose of this release is for you to feel the west rising. It's only fitting that Volume 1 of this series features all artists from Vancouver. Let's face it...our city is putting out some top notch sounds these days! It was a huge honor to lay down vocals on these 6 tunes, and I feel blessed to share 30 minutes of original Vancouver music!" -Shamik

With only 2 days to go before the legendary Krafty Kuts and Dynamite MC hit the starlite room, I felt it would be appropriate to enlighten those of you who have yet to discover the talent that is Dynamite MC. Here's the lowdown...
"Dynamite MC, (born & Dominic Smith, 7 October) grew up around the world , Germany, Ireland, Brazil , Gloucester , Bristol and now London. He originally gained prominence in jungle/drum and bass, working with Roni Size and Reprazent, but has also released hip hop and breaks and garage material.
He started his MCing career on pirate radio station, Crush FM, broadcasting in Gloucester South West England during the early 1990s. He met Roni Size in 1994 and began MCing for the Full Cycle crew. When the Bristol collective formed the live band Reprazent, Dynamite shared vocal duties with singer, Onallee. Their debut album New Forms won the Mercury Music Prize in 1997. Dynamite's role was enhanced for Reprazent's second album, the hip-hop influenced In The Mode (2000).
Following this, Dynamite has collaborated with a range of artists including The Nextmen, DJ Skitz, Scratch Perverts, Andy C and DJ Zinc, Krafty Kuts releasing a solo album The World of Dynamite (2004). In 2006 a mixtape CD, "Big Man Talk" was released on the Strong Records label (featuring samples from Enya and Kanye West).
